Encourage your child to do their best.  Become a cheerleader when you see good things happening.  Find positive ways to improve areas of concern. Remember personal best does not always mean an "A"

Let them know you are interested in their education.  Ask to see their work. Ask about what they did in school that day.

Show them that their work/learning is important.  Make sure there is quiet time in the home for the student to do their work.

Your child must learn to accept responsibility for poor or incomplete work.  Offer assistance when needed, but don't 'do it for them.

Communicate with your child's teachers.  If you can not visit the school, you can call or send notes.

Setup a Parent Portal account so you can view your child's grades and attendance.
